You gotta love metal type
Here’s some of the metal type we’ll be including in the limited-edition boxes. Vintage examples of Helvetica Extended Bold… cast at the old Stempel foundry in Germany. Nice.

I can’t wait.. Ordered my copy yesterday, and now my only problem is that it’ll be aaaaages before it’s shipped.. Hoping to receive an “h”!
I ordered tickets for the Danish showing of the movie as soon as it was announced, but when the day came, I was too sick to get out of bed.. I’m still so sorry I didn’t get to see it!

The store’s under construction now, but I can’t wait to order my limited edition copy! Will they be numbered? I’ll have to get some of my design friends together and hold a “Helvetica” party.

Comment by Rob Gregory — Tuesday, August 21, 2007 @ 4:10 pm
Just one problem… The “V” is backwards.

Any PAL version? Or just the NTSC.
Comment by AlexPN — Thursday, August 23, 2007 @ 3:45 pm
NTSC. Most DVD players in Europe are dual-format PAL/NTSC now anyway.

Can’t believe the limited edition DVDs are sold out! I just found out about this. Is it really sold out or will there be more later?
Comment by Rich — Sunday, September 16, 2007 @ 11:55 am
Man the midwest is so behind. We just had our screening and all the special editions are already sold out. That’s it. I am moving to New York.

Will you be releasing another round of the Deluxe Edition DVDs? I (sadly) found out about this a bit too late and I really want a piece of metal type! Pretty-please?
